Origin - Native to U.S.

Other info. - This attractive species can be found mainly in the southern half of Missouri. The plant is easy to identify because of its pinkish flowers, aristate inflorescence bracts, and thin leaves. This is an attractive species and is commonly cultivated. It grows easily from seed.
