Catocala vidua, Widow Underwing
|
All insects in this photograph are adults and will not grow larger. They illustrate how adult insects differ considerably in size. Compare the size of the Widow Underwing in the center of the photograph with the three Sciota uvinella, Sweetgum Leafroller Moths on the left. There are two even smaller beetles on the right, a very small fly at 10 o'clock, and a too-small-to-identify possible-psocid below the beetles.
