Beetle Blitz

The Beetle Blitz is a joint effort of researchers, volunteers, students, scientists, and park personell to collect and inventory the diverse population of beetles in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Tom Rogers of Jackson, Mississippi is the prime coordinator of the event hosted by Discover Life in America and the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI). The Beetle Blitz represents three days of around the clock collecting and cataloguing where participants have the opportunity to learn and share collecting methods, enlighten others on the wonders of entomology and to form lasting friendships.
